fernweh May 31, 2019
I love words. Words can be compelling enough to lift people up and help them realize their dreams. Foreign words that are unique in their meaning and without an English equivalent absolutely fascinate me. “Fernweh” is one of those words.
Although this German word often refers to travel, the best definition to me is “being homesick for a place you’ve never been.” It’s a beautiful thought in and of itself, but so often in our careers, we feel that ache of being homesick for a job, city, or industry that we’ve never been before. Many times it goes beyond a place, and it’s to be surrounded by people that get us that we are homesick for.
At TYGES, we have a very clearly defined mission: “We’re here to make good things happen for other people.” That includes the clients that we recruit for, the candidates searching for their next role or anyone who is looking to grow and develop themselves to become the leader that they are dreaming about.
We would love to connect and learn more about that place that you’ve never been yet but are somehow homesick for. We’re here for you.
To find a role, you can search for current jobs at https://tyges.com/search-jobs/. Once there you can also sign up for Job Alerts.
For companies looking to fill a role you can begin at https://tyges.com/submit-a-job/, and we’ll quickly reach out.
Finally, you can simply reach out to us at https://tyges.com/send-us-a-message/, and we’ll be happy to connect with you.
